Well if you don't know, now you know Las Cafeteras x ilaments x 2ndwnd Designs collaborated to create a unique, handcrafted design of jewelry for the upcoming East L.A. Band, Las Cafeteras! Inspired by their music of spoken word, fusing their hummingbird logo, folk sounds, traditional zapateado dancing, Son Jarocho, & Afro-Mexican beats. A lasercut name plate was made. 

Like Hector would say "Like that"? Yup, just like that, one of my favorite local L.A. Chicano bands & designers came together. See what had happened was:) Denise Carlos, one of the beautiful & talented singers, had asked me to create a jewelry name plate for her & it took me a Chicana minute to get it done, but it finally came together. As I made her "Denise" name plate, I thought I'm gonna make her an alternative Las Cafeteras name plate to wear too! For her inner "Chacha Fierce"! 

Reclaimed oak wood is what makes this jewelry pendant so special! It was #instalove at first site! I meshed the Las Cafeteras name with their Hummingbird Logo. Manny from 2ndwnd Designs made my vision come to life, the pendant is accented with an #ilaments signature flower! Each necklace is handmade to order. Its a very down to earth kinda feel. Flowers, hummingbirds, words & wood.
